The Copthorne Tara Hotel’s Head Chef, Nilesh will talk you through the recipe, method and presentation for creating this gorgeous and sexy chocolate dessert – perfect for Valentine’s Day.  And then you can go out, buy the ingredients and serve it up for that Special Someone.

The Copthorne Tara Hotel London Kensington is set in the heart of fashionable Kensington, just a 3-minute walk from Kensington High Street.  The hotel is located close to the iconic Royal Albert Hall, The Design Museum, Hyde Park and the beautiful Kensington Palace Gardens. The shops and restaurants of Knightsbridge and Notting Hill are also within easy reach.

THE INGREDIENTS

The Cake
250 gm butter (softened)
250 gm sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
500 gm  plain flour
150 gm  cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
200 ml buttermilk (or whole milk)
1 tbsp white vinegar
2 tsp red colouring

The Frosting
400 gm cream cheese (softened)
150 gm  butter
500 gm icing sugar
1 tsp vanilla
½ tsp salt

For the Strawberry chocolate
6 fresh strawberries
200 ml vodka
200 gm melted dark chocolate
