Q: I’m looking for a private room for up to 12 of our out-of-town managers where they can have a breakfast meeting – preferably within walking distance of Kings Cross Station.
BMA House, on Tavistock Square (10 mins from Kings Cross) has a range of lovely rooms (see below) and they pride themselves on their healthy and seasonal catering. Contact Rebecca (firstname.lastname@example.org) and Hannah (email@example.com)
Wallacespace, St Pancras. Meeting spaces in a converted warehouse with canteen-style dining. Contact Mary (Mary.firstname.lastname@example.org) and Emma (email@example.com)
German Gymnasium, one of the D&D chain of restaurants. Quite quirky. I think it has some small meeting rooms. Contact Julie (firstname.lastname@example.org) or email@example.com
The British Library, just along the Euston Road from Kings Cross, also have rooms. Contact Nasia Ruhomutally (Nasia.Ruhomutally@bl.uk).
Hope these help. Let me know what you decide to do – and don’t forget to mention The PA Club!
Q: Do you have a list of photographers you would recommend for company headshots?
TtT: Thanks for your enquiry. It’s a while since we’ve been asked about photographers, but I’ve had a look through our contacts and have come up with the following, with links to their website:
Amanda Forman – a former member of The PA Club and a lovely lady: really good at getting people to relax in front of the camera. It looks from her website that she largely does weddings, but she certainly has done corporate stuff and took the Linked In headshots for all our staff and the portraits on our home page.
Circe Hamilton – she took photos at one of our events, at Merchant Taylors’ Hall, a couple of years ago and has photographed quite a few famous people, like Gordon Brown and Lynda la Plante (below).
Andrew Errington – official photographer for informal photos at the wedding of Prince William and Kate and has done some formal portraits for the Prince of Wales and some of the Queen’s jubilee activities.
Matt Chung – he was recommended by one of our members, after doing photography for their annual report.
Please mention The PA Club and let me know how you get on. All bookings made with a PA Club supplier go into our log for the next PA Champions dinner
