Threadneedles Hotel

Threadneedles Hotel

Threadneedles Hotel was formerly head offices of the London, City and Midland Bank headquarters from the 1880s. The original building, designed by W & A Moseley was built in 1856 and was transformed into Threadneedles Hotel in 2002, when it was sensitively adapted into a striking lobby, bar and restaurant on the ground floor and a hotel with 74 bedrooms. The 130,000 sq. ft. listed building is just minutes away from the Bank of England and the Royal Exchange; it is the City’s oldest surviving premises for a joint-stock bank.

Luxury suites in the heart of London
Modern style meets historic stealth in this former Victorian bank. With accommodation in a palette of muted tones and an emphasis on natural wood furnishings and soft lighting, the effect is relaxed, making Threadneedles stand apart in the busy City of London’s financial district. Technology is to a very high standard, and there are expansive work areas. Large beds are plumped high with pillows and cushions, for kicking back after a day’s work or leisure.

Private dining in the city
Guests can feast on a refined seasonal menu in the hotel’s formal private dining room. Enjoy it’s spacious, elegant architecture and ambience while tasting some of the best cuisine by Threadneedles’ culinary team.

Flexible and stylish venues
Threadneedles is designed for flexibility, with meeting rooms and event spaces able to be used for a variety of different occasions. Access to the latest technology make the hotel a popular choice for business needs, while the classic Victorian architecture and contemporary interior design appeals to those needing an elegant, modern venue for a private celebration.
Whether business or pleasure, a board meeting or intimate private dining, the hotel’s meeting rooms provide a clever mix of sophistication and ease, so guests can get to work in stylish surroundings or enjoy a celebratory occasion.
In addition to three dedicated and aptly named event spaces – Capital (capacity: 35 guests), Traders (capacity: 6 guests) and Sterling (capacity: 20 guests), the Dome Lounge is the beating heart of Threadneedles. Its iconic glass dome marks the centrepiece of the hotel. Make a night of networking or a personal celebration one to remember with a drink reception under the breath-taking dome which can be hired in part or exclusively.
