Q: I’m looking for a private room for up to 12 of our out-of-town managers where they can have a breakfast meeting – preferably within walking distance of Kings Cross Station.

TtT:
BMA House, on Tavistock Square (10 mins from Kings Cross) has a range of lovely rooms (see below) and they pride themselves on their healthy and seasonal catering. Contact Rebecca (rhurley@bma.org.uk) and Hannah (hrobinson@bma.org.uk)

Wallacespace, St Pancras.  Meeting spaces in a converted warehouse with canteen-style dining.  Contact Mary (Mary.thomas@wallacespace.com) and Emma (emma.coates@wallacespace.com)

German Gymnasium, one of the D&D chain of restaurants.  Quite quirky.  I think it has some small meeting rooms.  Contact Julie (julieb@danddlondon.com) or events@danddlondon.com

The British Library, just along the Euston Road from Kings Cross, also have rooms.  Contact Nasia Ruhomutally (Nasia.Ruhomutally@bl.uk).

Hope these help.  Let me know what you decide to do – and don’t forget to mention The PA Club!

Q:  I am helping my executive to organise a dinner and we are looking for a private dining room that could host 9 guests in the area around St Paul’s. Any suggestions?

TtT: Thanks for your enquiry.

The Ivy Asia is the obvious first choice.  Reliable food and service.  But if you want something a bit more interesting:

Bleeding Heart , minutes from St Pauls and a short walk from Chancery Lane/Farringdon stations, offers a range of interesting dining spaces and French cuisine.

Balfour St Barts is a few mins walk from St Paul’s towards Smithfield.  No PDR as such but the mezzanine can be hired exclusively.  Casual dining, rather than formal.  Owned by Balfour Winery.

The Sandeman Quarter  – a few mins from Bank, they have a range of rooms tucked away in old wine vaults etc.  Very atmospheric and special – and the food is great.

Coq d’Argent  at No.1 Poultry, so slightly nearer Bank, than St Paul’s.  Part of the D&D Group, so pretty reliable as far as food goes.

Please mention The PA Club and let me know how you get on. All bookings made with a PA Club supplier go into our log for the next PA Champions dinner

I wanted to follow up and let you know that we ended up choosing Bleeding Heart for our private dinner last week, and it was a hit with our executives. The feedback has been really positive so thank you for the excellent recommendation!
