We’ve had some extraordinary events in the past, but never one where PA Club Members and Partners were able to “slide” home. The Arcelor Mittal Orbit in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is the UK’s tallest public artwork and The Slide is the world’s tallest and longest tunnel slide, measuring 178m.  To the accompaniment of ear-splitting screams, our guests travelled down through light and dark sections with London’s dramatic skyscape flashing by. The Slide twists and turns 12 times, including a tight corkscrew section named the ‘bettfeder’ – German for ‘bedspring’ – and ends with a 50 metre straight run to the ground. It’s all over in 40 seconds, and we noticed quite a few sneaking up for a second go!

After The Slide, everyone enjoyed excellent hospitality at the top of the Orbit, which can be used for a whole variety of corporate events – and what a venue, with a panoramic view of the whole of London and beyond! The weather was perfect, the attendance was huge, and our hosts were generous, welcoming and informative. Another great PA Club event!
